YAŞAT Foundation collected 25 million manats of donations over a month
Baku/08.01.21/Turan: To date, YAŞAT Foundation for Supporting Families of Martyrs and Wounded have collected 24 million 804 thousand 936, 86 manats, announced at today's press conference Innovations Ulvi Mehdiyev, the head of the State Agency for Services to Citizens and Social Innovations.
At the same time, more than 15 million manats were received from individuals and 9 million 768 thousand manats from legal entities.
According to Mehdiyev, 883, 278, 49 manats have already been used to help the families of martyrs and wounded soldiers.
Over the past year, representatives of the Foundation held meetings with family members of 2706 martyrs and 81 wounded, 1483 families are taken under the patronage of the Foundation.
In March, the Foundation will start helping members of the families of martyrs who died before 2020 and veterans of the first Karabakh war. People who fall under the category of disabled because of serious wounds can apply to the Foundation for help.
Referring to the persons represented on social networks in need of assistance, Mehdiyev said:
“In some cases, social networks spread a photo, allegedly of a wounded person in need. However, after investigation it turns out that this person is in military service and does not need help. Such people demand from us to find and punish those who distribute such photos.”- 16D06-
