You should fight autism on the government level
Number of children who are autistic, is growing. According to the Center for Public Association and psychological assistance "Autism", their number increased over the year by 1.5 million, and more is four thousand people.
"Despite the fact that the fourth year Azerbaijan is connected to the global initiative "Lighten blue light", aimed at raising public awareness about the disease, the company is not aware of it, said the head of the organization Cicek Mammadli. The presence of a specialized site for parents and specialist physicians http://autizm.az. also does not help.
The reason is that the problem is not solved on a proper level. Many parents take their children for the treatment and rehabilitation in Turkey - today in the centers of this country there are about 3,000 children suffering from the syndrome. In Georgia, the government began comprehensive interventions for HIV prevention, treatment of disease, as well as the progressive integration of adolescents into society. Azerbaijani parliament has not passed a legislation, the Ministry of Health has not included this disease into the list of "retirement" list, parents cannot purchase the appropriate medications on a preferential basis, there are not in the country any associations such as the "Society of the Deaf," etc.
The chairman of NGO gave concrete examples of broken families, the birth of a child subjected to autism. Parents who are not aware of the "unknown disease" often leave their children.
Today, about 70 million people (about 1% of the population) suffer from mental illness, occurring in a child's brain, mainly due to the impact of the environment. Autism occurs approximately at three years old and leads to limited action, prevents the development of the brain. Last year, the number of cases of autism exceeded the number of people with AIDS, diabetes and cancer.
Despite the low rate of the syndrome of autism in Azerbaijan, their number is steadily and rapidly increasing. According to experts, it's time to solve the problem in law and government. - 17D-
