The collision of tough military confrontation that arose on September 27, 2020 in the Azerbaijani-Armenian segment of the South Caucasus region seems to be quite predictable. Over the past several centuries, Armenia has played the role of a military-strategic outpost in the geopolitical relations of Russia with Iran and Turkey and, at the same time, the overseer over the internal political situation in Georgia and Azerbaijan. In the context of this policy, the situation connected with the role of Russia in the annexation of the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh and the location of a Russian military base on its territory in order to strengthen its geopolitical influence in the region is quite understandable.
Armenia's military provocation against Azerbaijan is a brutal reminder to Azerbaijan and Georgia of the danger for them to have a political position independent of Russia. It can also be assumed that in the context of the international position that has become more complicated in recent years, Russia has provoked the Armenian-Azerbaijani military conflict as its traditional argument - a show of force. In this situation, the Congress of the Ukrainian Nationalists strongly condemns the provocation of an armed attack by the military formations of Armenia with the hidden support of Russia against Azerbaijan.
The failure of this military operation will mean a weakening of Russia's military potential and its geostrategic status and will help reduce the pandemic of militarization of the system of international relations between countries. In the context of this process, the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict is an integral part of the decline in international relations around the world.
We want the Azerbaijani people to know that all the democrats of the world who unite democratic values and principles, as well as the people of Ukraine, are with the fraternal people of Azerbaijan! We are a nation that knows what aggression and occupation mean and lives the same destiny as Azerbaijan. If necessary, we openly declare our readiness to fight shoulder to shoulder with the fraternal people of Azerbaijan against the Armenian aggressors on the same front!
We want the Azerbaijani people to know that all democrats who unite democratic values and principles of peace, as well as the people of Ukraine, are close to the fraternal people of Azerbaijan and the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan! We are a nation that knows what aggression and occupation mean and comprehends the fate of Azerbaijan. If necessary, we openly declare our readiness to fight shoulder to shoulder with the fraternal Azerbaijani people against the Armenian aggressors on the same front!
