The largest Turkish think-tank structure supported Azerbaijan
Baku/03.10.20/Turan: Turkey's largest think-tank group, the Eurasian Center for Strategic Studies (ASAM), has come out in support of Azerbaijan's response to Armenian aggression. Turkish newspapers “Yeni şafak” and “Sabah” published ASAM's appeal to the world community, signed by the chair of the board of this structure Murat Doganay.
The appeal, consisting of 7 points, says, “The whole world knows that the Turkish nation to the end is next to the Azerbaijani brothers. Whatever the replacement is, we are ready for it. We want everyone to know that until Armenia leaves the occupied Azerbaijani lands, we will unconditionally support every step taken by our state. You are not alone, brotherly Azerbaijan! The Turkish state is behind it. A big Turkish nation is next to him!”
The appeal was signed by the former chair of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Ismail Kahraman, the former Minister of Justice and a member of the Kalkama party, deputies, high-ranking officials, scientists, heads of NGOs and political parties.
The Eurasian Center for Strategic Studies was established in 1994 under the Eurasian Foundation. The center, which is still considered the most powerful think-tank group in Turkey on a global scale, has organized over 3000 conferences in Turkey and abroad, and has published over 1000 books. According to ASAM, the Institute for Armenian Studies, which studies the essence of the "Armenian question" and has published more than 100 books shared by the Turkish public, publishes a journal in English every 3 months to respond to allegations of "genocide" against Turkey. The ASAM agenda includes the annual February conference on the Armenian Genocide in Khojaly and the study of the problems of the Turkic world and the Eurasian space in general.-0-
