Your cries are out of place, gentlemen!
***
The second public discussion of the problems and challenges of the information community held by the Media Club on 9 June was followed by a campaign ordered "from the top" to blackmail the members of the club and its activities.
The fact of the establishment of the Media Club and the strategic work initiated by media enthusiasts aimed at finding the ways out of the crisis in the Azerbaijan press, the creation of independent, high-quality, responsible media, the implementation of the goals and objectives of the Professional-Ethical Code of the Azerbaijani journalist, caused confusion among the ideologists and their henchmen.
This respond, full of slander and lies, inspires me for the further struggle for the purity of the Azerbaijani press and doubles my strength. This reaction and the organized campaign against the Media Club confirms that we are on the right way.
Just like my colleagues in Peru, we will continue researches and put forward initiatives in the field of journalism, the Internet, and the information space as a whole. The researches will cover the legislation, the economic situation of the media, the safety of journalists, access to information, professional and ethical issues, etc.
Under the present hard conditions of the Azerbaijani journalism, I and my like-minded people, have united in the Media Club, and decided to use all our potential to free the media from dictatorship and the bad influence of homegrown ideologists and their henchmen.
Before my arrest in August 2017, I wrote an article, "3 May: The Battle is Lost, Gentlemen," http://www.turan.az/ext/news/2017/5/free/analytics/en/117808.htm in which I uncovered all the fallibility and perniciousness of the anti-state and anti-national policy of destroying free media and pluralism. In the article I pointed to the rapid growth of various information initiatives that are already beyond the control of the authors and guides of the policy of the destruction of freedom of speech in Azerbaijan and their powerlessness in this process.
Today, dear Sirs, your cries, once again proved that you lost. You can continue to pour out your bile, but you cannot stop the process of formation of a free information space that has been launched without you and your participation. Our caravan is on the way, and your cries are out of place.
Congratulations, information community!

In a bit of historic irony, powerful oligarch Bidzina Ivanishvili has managed to inspire rare unity across Georgia’s cacophonous political scene twice in his life. His money and influence forged the broad-based consolidation of opposition forces that brought him to power in 2012, and now, 12 years and three electoral cycles later, a similar pattern of opposition convergence could send him packing.

Russian authorities and pro-Kremlin influencers have been spreading false information about alleged Reporters Without Borders (RSF) research into Nazi tendencies within the Ukrainian military, which was featured in a viral video falsely attributed to the BBC. RSF exposes the inner workings of a disinformation campaign designed to justify President Vladimir Putin's war narrative.

I welcome respected media representatives, professional and honest journalists from places of detention. July 22 is an important day for journalists, mass media and teachers of Azerbaijan. 149 years ago, Hassan Bey Zardabi, the great educator, the most valuable thinker, the founder of our journalism, lit the first light for society to come out of darkness, giving humanity the newspaper “AKINCI.”

The past day has not clarified the question of why the meeting between Aliyev and Pashinyan in London on July18 broke down. The announcement of the upcoming meeting was made a week ago from Armenian sources, and Baku was silent about the upcoming meeting.
