Ilham Aliyev visits Kalbajar and Lachin
Baku/16.08.21/Turan: On Monday, August 16, the head of state Ilham Aliyev, together with his wife, visited Kalbajar and Lachin regions.
During the trip, Aliyev has laid the foundation of a tunnel through the Murovdag mountain ridge, which will connect Goygol region with Kalbajar, reads a press release on the president's website. The total length of the road will exceed 80 km, and the length of the three tunnels will be 15 km. The longest of them is 11 km. Three Turkish companies are building the road.
Then Ilham Aliyev opened an electrical substation "Kalbajar".
After that, Aliyev laid the foundation for another tunnel, which will connect Kalbajar with Lachin. Then Ilham Aliyev visited the former Istisu sanatorium and a new military unit. -02D-

The National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF) has scheduled a protest rally in Baku for May 19 demanding the release of political prisoners, electoral reform, improvement of the social situation of the population, and the opening of land borders.
