The amount of foreign currency exported from the country more than doubled

According to information published by the State Statistics Committee (SSC), in January-May 2024, agricultural products worth 3 billion 352 million manats were produced in Azerbaijan, by 3.1% more than in the same period last year. The Committee reports that over the past year, the cost of crop production produced in the country increased by 7.4% to 783 million manats, and the cost of livestock products increased by 1.7% to 2 billion 569 million manats.

The State Statistics Committee (SSC) has released data on food consumption per capita in 2023.

Calculations based on information provided by the State Customs Committee (SCC) showed that in January-May 2024, food products imported to Azerbaijan increased by 3.4% in value terms compared to the same period last year.
