On Alaska’s Ice, Putin and Trump Resume Dialogue but Leave Ukraine in Limbo

Discussions largely focused on three areas: U.S. technological cooperation with Yerevan, strategic partnership with Baku, and the possible geopolitical consequences of America’s growing presence in the South Caucasus.

The world continues to reel from the shock of the capture of the Venezuelan president by American special forces and cannot find answers to many questions: what next? Will the Venezuelan regime fall, will a pro-Western government emerge there? How will other powers behave: will China seize Taiwan, Russia the Baltic states, and America Greenland? The list of questions goes on, but it is clear that even Washington does not know what to expect. Baku is also shocked by what has happened, but is pretending that nothing special has happened. Although the day before, the official Baku  has expressed an opinion that international law no longer exists, but only force remains.
