Cultural Events in Baku during Islamic Games
Baku / 07/22/17 / Turan: During the security period of the IV Games of Islamic Solidarity on May 12-22, a number of events dedicated to the Islamic heritage of Azerbaijan and national culture will be organized in Baku. This was announced by the Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfaz Garayev on April 21 at a meeting of the organizing committee of the Games.
In particular, the exhibition of Islamic Heritage will be opened in the Azerbaijan National Museum of Arts. In the Museum of the Azerbaijani Carpet there will be an exhibition Divine Art: Patterns, Loops. The Museum of Independence of Azerbaijan will exhibit the history of religion. The Museum Center will host a photo exhibition Islamic Monuments of Azerbaijan.
The mode of operation of the museums for the period of the Games will be extended.
In addition, a film festival of the film studio Azerbaijanfilm will be held at the Nizami Cinema Center. It will feature artistic and documentary films about the history, material and spiritual culture of Azerbaijan.
On the eve of the Games in Baku, it is also planned to hold several other major mass cultural events.
Garayev also noted that the IV World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue with participation of up to 700 high-ranking guests will be held in Baku from May 4 to May 6. -06D--
