Festival "European town" on Baku Boulevard
Baku / 02.06.18 / Turan: On the seaside boulevard of the capital the traditional festival "European town" was held today, where the culture of the countries of the European Union was presented. This year, the holiday of European culture is timed to the 100th anniversary of the Academy of Sciences. The event was organized by the EU Delegation and embassies of the EU countries in Baku.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Minister of Culture Abulfaz Garayev said that the projects between Azerbaijan and the EU contribute to strengthening cooperation.
In turn, the head of the EU representation in Azerbaijan, Kestutis Jankauskas noted that the parties are currently working on defining a new legal framework for partnership.
"We are working together to build bridges between peoples. We work with the younger generation, we carry out various projects. Such events contribute to the expansion of ties, better mutual familiarization with cultures," said Jankauskas.
Within the framework of the event, virtual tours around Europe, lessons of national and European dances, karaoke, a school of languages with representatives of embassies and cultural centers, cognitive shows including chemical and physical experiments, face art, a master class on weaving wreaths, the creation of various objects 3D pen and much more.
Guests of the festival will be able to see the culinary show cooking the famous European dishes, such as, for example, "paella".
The event will continue till the evening and will end with a concert in which the Azerbaijani singer and composer Miri Yusif and the famous Italian singer In-Grid will take part.-06D--
