The Italian Embassy in Baku is pleased to inform that an Italian Film Festival will be organized in Baku from next 20 to 25 October in the 28 Cinema in cooperation with the Italian Association N.I.C.E, the Embassy of Swizerland, with the sponsorship of Yapikredi Bank Azerbaijan and Hilton Baku, in the framework of the Week of the Italian language in the World.
During the Festival, six Italian film will be screened: “La Grande Bellezza” (The Great Beauty) directed by Paolo Sorrentino, Oscar in 2014, “Nuovo cinema paradiso” (New cinema paradise) directed by Giuseppe Tornatore, Oscar of 1990, “La Vita e’ bella” (The life is beautiful) directed by Roberto Benigni, Oscar in 1997, “Il Capitale Umano (The Human Capital)” directed by Paolo Virzi’, “Il Principe abusivo”, “I Gladiatori di Roma” (The gladiators of Rome). Four films will be screened in Italian with subtitles in English and two films in Russian.
The Italian actress Anita Kravos will be a guest of the Italian Film Festival and she will be present at the screening of “The Great Beauty”.
The event will be an occasion to strengthen the cultural relations between Italy and Azerbaijan and to acquaint the Azerbaijani people with some of the best Italian movies in the recent years, among which The Great Beauty, Oscar in 2014, that will be screened in Azerbaijan for the first time, reads a press release from Italian Embassy. -0-
