Nariman Gasimoglu Presents American Study on Central Asia in Azerbaijani Language
Baku / 25.06.18 / Turan: The scientist, writer and translator Nariman Gasimoglu completed work on the book The Lost Enlightenment: Golden Age of Central Asia from Arab Invasion to Teymurleng by a prominent American historian Frederick Star. From English the book has been translated into Azerbaijani and printed in the publishing house of the ADA University. Last week, the presentation of the book was conducted in ADA with the participation of F. Star, Gasimoglu reported on FB.
The 824-page book tells the story of the development and crisis of Islamic civilization. The new study has aroused great interest in academic circles and was translated into several languages.
The book is preceded by appeals to the Azerbaijani readers by the author F. Star and the Rector of ADA Hafiz Pashayev.
In the annotation to the Azerbaijani variant of the book, F. Star informs that the initiator of the translation into the Azerbaijani language was the historian, Dr. Eldar Ismailov, who personally participated in the organization of the big work. F. Star expresses gratitude to H. Pashayev and emphasizes the importance of E. Ismailov's activity for the culture of Azerbaijan and the Caucasus.
F. Star highly appreciated the work of the translator Gasimoglu - "a prominent representative of the ADA teaching staff", who showed that the true translation cannot be without a deep knowledge of the book and the possession of the subtleties of both languages.
In 1993, a translation of the Quran into the Azerbaijani language by N. Gasimoglu was published (The Holy Quran: Explanation in the Azerbaijani Language). Subsequently, he published a second, improved translation of the Quran, provided with explanations. -0----

The glamour of the silver screen often conceals the unspoken struggles of actresses, especially as they age. Behind the bright lights and applause lies a reality marked by stereotypes, societal pressures, and diminishing opportunities. For many actresses, the passage of time not only challenges their personal identities but also threatens their professional survival in an industry fixated on youth and conventional standards of beauty.
