Stockholm Hosts First Semifinal of Eurovision
Late in the evening of May 10, the first semi-final of the Eurovision 2016 contest completed in Stockholm.
The song contest was not without scandal, as the singer from Armenia Ivetta Muchukyan during the broadcast, while in the so-called Green Room (where participants follow the course of the competition), raised the flag of Nagorno-Karabakh.
Demonstration of the flags of unrecognized states is a violation of the rules of Eurovision and it was stated by the representative of Azerbaijan at the press conference.
Earlier, the European Broadcasting Union banned the use of flags of unrecognized countries.
Meanwhile, representatives of Armenia and Azerbaijan Ivetta Muchukyan and Semra Rahimli reached the final, along with the representatives of Croatia, Austria, the Czech Republic, Russia, Hungary, the Netherlands, Cyprus and Malta.
In addition to them in the final, according to the rules of the competition, there will be France, Britain, Germany, Italy and Spain, as well as last year's winner, Sweden.
The second semifinal of the ESC will be held on May 12 and the final will take place on May 14. -02D-
