Tourist Sites and Museums Closed in Baku and Throughout Azerbaijan
Baku / 14.03.20 / Turan: Starting today, tourist facilities across the country have been closed, according to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers' operational headquarters. The State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan reports that these cultural sites will be closed for visiting until the next decision of the Operational Headquarters: the Ateshgah historical and architectural reserve, the nature reserve Yanardag, the architectural reserve Yukhary Bash, the Palace of Sheki Khans, the House Museum of Sheki Khans, the Sheki Museum of Local Lore, the Sheki Museum of Applied Arts, the Sheki Art Gallery; the Kish Nature Reserve, and the Albanian Church.
Since March 14, the work of museums in Icheri Sheher has been suspended in Baku: the Shirvanshahs Palace Complex, the Maiden's Tower, the reserve Gala, the Baku House of Photography, the Puppet Theater and a number of other objects.
The activities of other museums and objects of mass visits of tourists in the capital and beyond were also discontinued. Disinfection will be carried out at these facilities, according to the decision of the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers. -02D-
