2392 tankers already shipped from Ceyhan
From June 2, 2006 till January 6, 2013 Turkish Botas International Limited (BIL) company has shipped over 1.84 billion barrels of oil from the Ceyhan oil terminal against about 1.82 billion barrels by December 2, 2013, reads the information posted on the BIL official web site.
Since 2001 Turkish BIL is in charge of operation of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline on the territory of Turkey.
The information reads that during this period 2392 tankers with oil have been shipped from the Ceyhan terminal against 2360 tankers by December 2, 2013.
Total length of the BTC is 1768 km, of which 443 km lie in Azerbaijan, 249 ones in Georgia and 1076 km in Turkey. The pipeline construction started in April 2003 and it was filled with oil on May 18, 2005.
The shareholders of BTC Co, which was founded on August 1, 2002 to implement the project, are BP (30.1%), SOCAR (25%), Chevron (8.9%), Statoil (8.71%), ТРАО (6.53%), Eni (5%), Total (5%), Itochu (3.4%), Inpex (2.5%), ConocoPhillips (2.5%) and ONGC (2.36%). –0--
