On the initiative of the State Committee for Property Affairs (SCPA) 935 contracts for the lease of land in 46 districts of the country have been canceled. It is about 200 thousand hectares of land that is not used for its intended purpose, the ministry said.
As a result of monitoring in Baku and regions of the country in 2016 and since the beginning of this year about 4,900 violations of land legislation have been found. In 1,100 cases administrative reports were drawn up and penalties totaling 580 thousand mantas were applied.
The SCPA developed a unified electronic database on the lease of state and municipal lands.
Recall that President Ilham Aliyev asked the government to take serious action against the misuse of public lands and the termination of contracts on the identified violations of land legislation. -----08D
