Auctions Held on Privatization of State Property
Today at 10:00 a.m. Baku and zonal offices of the Auction Center held trades on the packages of shares of privatized joint-stock companies, 100% stake in small businesses as well as non-residential premises and vehicles. The sale of 65 state properties was arranged.
Selling property on behalf of the state, the State Committee on Property (SCP) promised that the trades will be open and transparent.
SCP has announced the preliminary results of the auctions, according to which 36 items of state property were sold, including 30% shareholdings in 9 JSCs. The state budget will receive 1.8 million AZN.
It is noteworthy that SCP announced the change of trading places in Baku two days before the sale. Earlier trades were carried out in the Auction Center for Trades. The Committee, without any clarification, said that the auctions on 14 and 20 September will be held at the Center for Information Technology and Information Management.
Note that SCP accelerated the pace of privatization, and every Tuesday trading will be held both in Baku and regions of the country.
In the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, privatization is carried out at its own discretion. -----08B
