Azerbaijani businessmen go again in Aktau
Baku/19.06.14/Turan Foundation export promotion and investment in Azerbaijan (AZPROMO) plans to organize in Aktau another business forum, whose main purpose is to expand the export of Azerbaijani goods to Kazakhstan.
Previous meeting of business circles of the two countries held in Aktau in June last year during the visit of the Minister of Economy and Industry Shahin Mustafayev. She participated on both sides of businessmen representing the spheres of industry, agriculture, food industry, construction, tourism, etc.
Azerbaijan is trying to build logistics centers in the western regions of Kazakhstan. According to official data, in the west of Kazakhstan were registered 46 enterprises with the Azerbaijani capital. In Azerbaijan there are 37 Kazakh companies.
In February of this year from Kazakhstan Mangistau visited Baku business delegation of 20 businessmen representing various sectors of the economy.
This year, the trade turnover between the two countries declined. According to the Azerbaijani customs Azerbaijani exports to Kazakhstan ($ 14.6 million) five months of this year fell by 36.5%. Imports of goods from Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan ($ 118.3 million) also declined by 5.3%.

Azerbaijan’s industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs reported a modest 1.1% year-on-year increase in industrial production during 2024, reaching an output valued at 64.1 billion manat. The State Statistics Committee attributed the overall growth to a 0.5% expansion in the oil and gas sector, while non-oil and gas industries surged by 7.3%.
