Azercell Brings Capacity of Its 3G Network to 92% in Baku
Due to last year's installation of 169 base stations 2G / 3G network a local mobile operator and Internet service provider Azercell brought the capacity of its 3G-network up to 92% in Baku and the surrounding areas, and up to 48% across the country .
As the company said, the trend of strengthening technical capabilities continued this year. Thus, in the first quarter Azercell introduced its subscribers additional 20 stations of the network 2G, 84 stations of 3G and 7 stations of the network 4G.
Today, the nationwide network of Azercell unites 2,680 stations 2G, 1,844 stations 3G and 264 stations 4G. So, the operator Azercell Telecom, which always tries to provide its customers with the highest level of services, uses a total of 4,788 base stations. Over the past two years, it has strengthened its network coverage by 25%, the report says. --17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
