Bakcell to send five young footballers to Manchester
The enrollment in Summer School Football Manchester United has completed. It was organized by the first local mobile operator and provider of mobile Internet - the company Bakcell, together with AFFA.
According to the press release, 32 young talents (Baku - 10 , Ganja – 9, Gakh - 3 , Sumgait - 7 , Tovuz - 3) are to participate in a training camp to be held from June 2 through 6 on the basis of the professional football club Baku by the coaches of the Manchester United football school. According to the results of the selection, 5 children that show the highest results during the summer school football will be able to travel to the city of Manchester.
The qualifying rounds were held with the participation of coaches of the AFFA project Elite Training as well as the sporting directors of Topaz Premier League School designated by AFFA. Special attention during the qualifying round was paid to the technical skills of the children.
Khayal Aliyev, Samir Maharramli and Zeneddin Abdurrahmanov, who took part in the training camp in Manchester last year, also passed the qualifying round this year, showing good results. The main objective of the football school is searching for young talents aged from 8 to 12 years in different regions of the country, and support to further development of their football skills.
As a sponsor of the national team of Azerbaijan in football, and also the first telecommunication and broadcast partner of Manchester United FC in the CIS, Bakcell is doing everything possible to support the development of football in Azerbaijan.
