Baku Hosts Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Business Forum
Baku Business Center hosted the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan business forum with the participation of entrepreneurs from the region of Mangistau today.
It Kazakh businessmen discussed with the management of the Fund to promote exports and investment in Azerbaijan (AZPROMO) and the private sector, the prospects for expanding trade and economic relations.
In AZPROMO they told Turan, that Baku is a business delegation of 11 people led by the head of administration of the city of Aktau Edil Zhanbirish. Kazakh businessmen are areas of construction and urban planning, development and landscaping, water and waste management, and recycling of household solid waste, alternative energy, etc.
In 2012, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan amounted to $ 393.3 million which is $ 118 million, or 43% more than in 2011 (data from the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan). Balance in foreign trade has been favor of Kazakhstan - $ 287.7 million in 2012, exports to Kazakhstan decreased by about 9%, and Kazakh exports to Azerbaijan increased by 56.7%.

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
