Baku Metro postponed until next year the commissioning of two plants under construction in the new "Purple Line". The Bus Station and the Memar Ajami-2 stations will receive passengers during 2015.
According to the plan of construction in 2011-2016, it is planned to carry out and complete the construction of the five stations on the "Purple Line" to deliver passengers to the Palace of Concerts named after Heydar Aliyev. However, perhaps these plans will be moved.
The Metro managers planned to put into operation at least 8 stations during the 2014-2016 years. The plans include the completion of construction of 11 stations for 5 years.
Currently, the Metro has 23 stations. The last time, in 2011, the station Darnagul was launched on the "Green Line".
Active investment policy for the development of the Underground Railroad started in Baku in 2008. Only in 2010-2013, the Government sent to the reconstruction and construction of plants more than 975 million manat. Of these, 413 million manat accounted for the "Purple Line". In 2014, investment in the construction of underground stations was approved at the level of 224 million AZN. --08D--
