Baku to host Azerbaijan-Serbian business forum
On 26 November Baku Business Center is to host the Azerbaijani-Serbian business forum.
Event with the participation of businessmen of the two countries, organized within the framework of the 2nd meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, which will be held the next day.
The Fund for Export Promotion and Investment in Azerbaijan (AZPROMO) told Turan that the forum will be attended by representatives of various Serbian companies operating in the food industry, agriculture, engineering, construction, tourism, transport, construction and repair of cars, packaging, etc. On the Serbian side the forum will be attended by over 20 companies. All in all bilateral meetings are expected to attend about 90 businessmen told Turan in the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development.
This year Azerbaijan has exported almost nothing to Serbia. Imports of goods from that country amounted to $ 21.5 million, which is 13 times more than in January-October last year. - 08D-

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance. This figure, which includes reserves held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), far exceeds the nation's external debt, which stands at a fraction of its reserves, specifically nearly 14 times less.
