BREAD PRICES DO NOT GROW
BAKU/16.09.10/TURAN: The Economic Development Ministry said bread prices would not grow though flour had become more expensive. The production is still profitable under the existing wholesale prices of flour.
The recent independent researches proved that the flour production had become more expensive in Azerbaijan due to the expensiveness of grain in the world market. But the Economic Development Ministry denies any influence of these factors on the internal prices.
The retail price of flour has grown by 12% to AZN 0.35-0.40 per kg in the past 45 days. Though many producers have not increased the prices of bread, they decreased the mass of the loaves in accordance with the new prices of flour. But the Economic Development Ministry neglected the matter. --08D-
