Concrete Highway Baku - Sumgait Repaired
Repair work has started on the part of the highway Baku - Guba - the Russian Federation, passing through the territory of the Jeyranbatan village. The work on the road repaired in 2008 is done by Azeravtoyol.
The destruction of parts of the road began in the second year of its operation, although the customer - Ministry of Transport and the builder - the company Accord assured everyone of the uninterrupted 30-year useful life of the road. For several years, the concrete surface of the road was destroyed and the damaged places were patched with asphalt. Azeravtoyol’s press release states that the repair work is only carried out in one direction, or rather in the direction of Baku. Given the intensity of traffic on the road, the work will be carried out in part, to the stationary post of the Main State Traffic Police. Initially, the work began on a kilometer stretch of the road. A 28-inch cast-concrete surface will be laid with the use of special equipment. All the work is carried out under the supervision of Azeravtoyol management, MES, as well as the State Agency for Standardization, Metrology and Patents. The work is carried out with high quality, in accordance with the established timetable.
Recall that the construction of this road cost 600 million US dollars. How much the repairs will cost Azeravtoyol is not reported. - 08D--
