Consumer spending per capita increase by 6.1%
In 2014, consumer expenses per capita in Azerbaijan amounted to 234.9 manat, which is by 6.1% more than in the previous year. Compared with 2008 (114.6 manat), consumer costs increased 2-fold These figures were revealed in a study of households.
Specific weight of food (95.7 manats) in consumer spending last year amounted to 40.7%. In addition, the population spent on the purchase of cigarettes and alcoholic beverages 3.7 manats per month.
Utility costs (electricity, heat, gas, water, fuel) per capita, compared with 2008 increased by 2 times, and amounted in 2014 to average 17.3 manat per month.
Spending on health and education, compared with 2008 increased three times and reached in 2014, respectively 11.5 and 4.6 manats per month.
In 2014, the citizens spend on leisure and cultural activities 10.3 manats a month, by twice more for hotel services, catering. According to the State Statistics Committee, the cost of leisure compared to 2008 increased by 3.6 times, payment of hotel accommodation and catering – by 2.8 times. --08D--
