Customs fees increased by 15.7%
In January 2013, the State Customs Committee collected to the state budget customs duties and taxes in the total amount of 89.5 million manat. This is 15.7% more than in January last year.
The bulk of revenues accounted for by VAT - AZN 66.9 mln. (+7.4%). Customs officers dramatically increased the collection of import customs tax. Their volume increased from 9.66 million manat in January 2012 to 17.88 mln in January 2013 (+85%).
The volume of road tax amounted to 1 235.1 thousand manats (+AZN 169,000). In January this year, the amount of excise taxes decreased about a quarter to 3.6 million manat.
In 2013, the government raised its forecast on customs duties from 1.2 billion to 1.38 bn AZN. - 08D-
