During the year the business confidence index in trade and industry fell by 0.1 % (UPDATED)

BAKU/20.02.14/Turan : According to the Azerbaijani Central Bank , the business confidence index in manufacturing ( non-oil sector ) at the end of 2013 amounted to 11.4% (an increase of 2.6% per year), in trade - 7% ( decline - 0.1%).
In general, industry (including mining industry ) also experienced a decline - 0.09%. Given the prevalence of its share in GDP can be stated that the achievements are not significant .
As stated in the review of the CBA monetary policy for 2013 published on the website of the bank, the growth of the overall index is associated with an increase in sales volumes in the production and trade.
In catering it grew by 16% , trade - 9.9% , communications - 10.7 %, construction - 23% , social services - 4.9 % , agriculture - 4.9 % , transport - 6.3%.
The index is calculated on the basis of a quarterly survey of business leaders in non-oil sector of the country in the framework of the monitoring of the real economy . - 17D-
