EBRD Intends to Continue to Cooperate with Government of Azerbaijan
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) intends to continue its program of cooperation with the government of Azerbaijan.
According to the EBRD, 10-12 April, a delegation of the Board of Directors will arrive immediately after the visit to the capital of Georgia.
According to the program, they will meet President Ilham Aliyev, President of the Central Bank Elman Rustamov, the Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov and the Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev. It is scheduled to meet with entrepreneurs, the diplomatic corps and representatives of international financial institutions, banks and civil society.
The delegation of the EBRD will include Mehmood Akcay, Eric Ball, Clara Krol, Giorgio Lechchesi, Basil Lelakis, Jan Maas, Jonathan Ockenden, Eoin Ryan, Joachim Schwarzer, and Artem Shevalev. They were accompanied by a bank director for Caucasus, Moldova and Belarus, Paul-Henri Forestier.
Azerbaijan has been a member of the Bank since 1992. During the period of cooperation approved the allocation of EUR 1.8 billion for projects in the public and private sector. The current portfolio of the bank's local projects is 692 million euros. - 17D -

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
