For H1, 2014 BTC costs amounted to more than $ 161 million
For the I half-year 2014 the total cost of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) was $ 161.3 million. This was reported in the statement of BP-Azerbaijan for the I half of 2014.
According to the report, of this amount, 61.3 million was capital expenditure of the pipeline, while $ 100 million was operating costs.
BP is the operator of the project. Last year the operating costs of the project BTC were not released to the public. However, the capital cost for the I half of 2013 amounted to $ 26 million, and for the whole of last year - $ 75 million. Therefore, it is currently impossible to determine the dynamics of the costs of running the BTC, if they increased or decreased.
According to forecasts of BP-Azerbaijan, in 2014 capital expenditures for maintenance of the pipeline are planned to be $ 119 million, and operating costs - $ 230 million.
The capacity of the BTC pipeline is 1.2 million barrels of oil per day. In the I half of 2014 BTC transported 17.8 million tons of oil to the Ceyhan terminal and shipped 185 tankers.
The shareholders of the BTC are: BP (30.1%); SOCAR (25%); Chevron (8.9%); Statoil (8.71%); TPAO (6.53%); ENI (5%); Itochu (3.40%); ConocoPhillips (2.5%); INPEX (2.5%), Total (5%) and ONGC (2.36%). -0 ---
