The State Statistics Committee (SSC) of Azerbaijan recently reported a significant rise in meat production and imports for the first half of 2024. Meat production reached 290.3 thousand tons in live weight, marking a 1.7% increase compared to the previous year. Simultaneously, meat imports grew by 23.7% in physical weight and an even more substantial 44.9% in value terms compared to the same period last year. This growth translates to an additional 4,900 tons of meat produced domestically and more than 5,000 tons imported.
