Ganja is Meeting Place for Azerbaijani and Russian Entrepreneurs
Baku / 09.07.18 / Turan: Expansion of the bilateral relations was discussed during the meeting of Economy Minister Shahin Mustafayev and Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhail Bocharnikov in Baku on July 7.
The sides exchanged views on the upcoming Ninth Azerbaijan-Russia Interregional Forum, which will be held in Ganja in September this year.
To organize the forum, the Ministry of Economy allocated 227,400 manat from the state budget ($ 133,700). This work is entrusted to the company S.A. Service created in January of this year.
For five months of 2018, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia grew by 24%. The 17th meeting of the intergovernmental commission of the two countries is scheduled for the end of the year. 08D--

As Azerbaijan gears up to host the 29th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP29), the State Migration Service (SMS), in partnership with the COP29 Organizing Committee and COP29 Azerbaijan operating company, has implemented measures to simplify migration registration, enhance information dissemination, and expedite issue resolution for incoming delegates. Ulvi Aliyev, a representative from the SMS, highlighted these efforts during a briefing at Heydar Aliyev International Airport as part of a media tour organized to showcase Azerbaijan's preparations for the event.

The United Nations has supported Azerbaijan's COP29 presidency in its efforts to prepare for the largest climate conference of the year, UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Vladanka Andreyeva said on Tuesday at ADA University. The statement was part of a Sustainable Development Goals dialogue titled “Echoes of the Future: Climate Action and Coordination of Efforts Toward Global Goals,” co-organized by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy and the UN office in the country.
