Gubad Ibadoglu: ‘By the End of the Year the Situation with AZN Will Be Difficult’
Baku / 22.09.2016 / Turan: The expected decision by the Federal Reserve System of the USA will have a strong impact on the manat, the economist Gubad Ibadoglu said.
In his profile on Facebook the expert noted that as expected, at its meeting on September 20-21, FRS did not raise interest rates.
‘However, the Director of FRS, Janet Yellen, said there are arguments in favor of raising interest rates, but they decided to wait, as there is a need for new information about the economy, including the strengthening of the labor market,’ Ibadoglu wrote.
According to him, at the end of the year, the psychological pressure of the Federal Reserve's expected decision on AZN will be higher.
‘Especially in November and December, the situation with the manat will be more difficult than it is now. By the end of the year in connection with the performance of external liabilities of companies and banks, the demand for foreign currency will rise,’ Ibadoglu said. -----71D
