In 2013 gas production in Russia increased by 2%, while export by 10%

In 2013 gas production in Russia increased by 2% against the same period last year and totaled 668,024,000,000 cub.m., while export increased by 10% - up to 204,911,000,000 cub.m., according to the Central Dispatcher Department of the Fuel and Energy Complex of Russia.

During last year Russia’s biggest gas maker Gasprom reduced production by 0.4% to 480,045,000,000 cub.m. In 2013 NOVATEC extracted 62,167,000,000 cub.m. of gas (growth by 5.3%). During last year local consumption of Russian gas decreased by 0.8% and totaled 456,222,000,000 cub.m. During last year gas export to Far Abroad totaled 139,032,000,000 cub.m. (growth by 23.9%) and to Near Abroad – 51,095,000,000 cub.m. (reduction by 13.6%).  From January to December Russia imported 27,325,000,000 cub.m. of gas from other countries, down 13.7% against 2012.

During last year export of liquefied natural gas to CIS totaled 14,495,000,000 cub.m. (reduction by 1%). 

According to the same source, in 2012 gas production in Russia decreased by 2.3% against previous year and totaled 655,007,000,000 cub.m., while export decreased by 3.6% to 185,845,000,000 cub.m.—0---
