In 2013 Russia delivered to Armenia almost 1.95 billion cub.m. of gas
In 2013 natural gas deliveries from Russia to Armenia dropped by 0.6% against 2012 and totaled 1,956 billion cub.m., reported ArmRosgasprom.
During a year gas sales increased by 5.4% up to 1,945 billion cub.m.
Natural gas consumption increased by 8.9% in the energy and by 5.4% in the industrial sectors and totaled 511 and 268 million cub.m., respectively. The petrol stations increased gas consumption by 8.8% up to 455 million cub.m.
During 2013 gad consumption by population decreased by 0.6% and totaled 539 million cub.m.
ArmRosgasprom closed-type JSC is the monopolist in field of gas deliveries and distribution at the Armenian local market, where gas comes from Georgia. At present Gasprom holds 100% shares of the company and is going to buy the remaining 20% shares for $156 million (at the expense of repayment of accumulated debts). The enterprise will be named Gasprom Armenia.—0—

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met today with Ahmed Moallim Figi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia, at the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry. This meeting followed a discussion held the previous day between Figi and Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikail Jabbarov.
