In January 2014 Russia increased gas production by 0.5%, gas export by 10%
In January 2014 gas production in Russia increased by 0.5% against 2013 and totaled 65,636,000,000 cub.m., export increased by 10% up to 21,599,000,000 cub.m., according to the Central Dispatcher Department of the fuel and energy sector.
Last month the biggest Russian gas maker Gasprom reduced production by 1% to 48,467,000,000 cub.m. In November 2013 NOVATEC extracted 5,293,000,000 cub.m. (growth by 2.6%). In January 2014 local consumption of Russian gas decreased by 0.7% and totaled 54,066,000,000 cub.m.
In January gas export to Far Abroad totaled 14,748,000,000 cub.m. (growth by 15.6%) and to Near Abroad – 5,486,000,00 cub.m. (reduction by 13.6%). In January 2014 1,969,000,000 cub.m. of gas was received from other countries, up 2.2% against the same period last year.
In January 2014 export of liquefied natural gas to the CIS member-states totaled 1,365,000,000 cub.m. (growth by 0.4%).—0—
