In September, Congress to Host First Exhibition of Tunneling
From 10 to 11 September Baku will hold the International Congress and Exhibition, "Tunneling and underground infrastructure of cities."
The initiator of this forum is the Azerbaijan Association of tunnels, which since 2011 has been a member of the World Association of tunnels and the only representative of this trend in the region. The organizational partner is Iteca Caspian LLC.
The relevance of the Congress is due to growing with each passing year the need of effective use of the urban area. Efficient use of underground space is a serious interest in designers, architects, builders, drifters, municipal authorities, utilities and many other areas. Reasonable and current use of underground space is becoming a necessity as the mega-cities and traditional towns.
Development of underground communication industry requires an investment of additional investment. The process of exploration and development of underground infrastructure in the future promises to be one of the main directions of development of infrastructure mega-cities around the world. This means that there is a strong and promising framework for attracting foreign investors.
The participation have scientists and experts, interested organizations and companies from Azerbaijan, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Russia, Ukraine, United States, Canada, Korea and other countries. Accredited to the conference are 150 delegates, including senior representatives of government agencies and international organizations, presidents of companies from various countries around the world.
During the congress will address topics that are closely overlapping with the latest research and the latest creative ideas: representation of infrastructure projects: the expansion of the subway, tunnels, highways and railways in Azerbaijan, Russia, Ukraine, etc.; underground infrastructure as a solution for the modern urbanization; building tunnels in the city, construction of underground infrastructure in complex geological conditions, the latest technical innovations in the tunnel, tunnels, urban Penetration: Methods and control of risk measures of protection and safety in tunnels and underground infrastructure.

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
