International brand for anniversary of Mikhailo
The company Azermarka of the Ministry of Communications and ICT Azerbaijan issued and put into circulation the postage stamp for the 95th anniversary of the Hero of the Soviet Union, Mehdi Huseynzadeh (Mikhailo).
According to the organization, there was collaboration with a partner organization in Slovenia, where in a mass grave in the village Chepovan the legendary guerrilla warrior is buried. The price of the stamp is 60 kopecks.
Recall Mehdi Huseynzadeh was born December 22, 1918 in the village Novkhani, the then province of Baku. Hw was an artist.
In August 1942 he was taken prisoner by the Nazis and escaped several times. In January 1944, he joined the international detachment of partisans operating in Italy and Slovenia.
