Iran completed construction of high voltage line to transmit 600 MWt power to Azerbaijan
Iran has completed construction of the high voltage lines to supply Azerbaijan with 600 MWt of power, reported Iranian media quoting Iranian Energy Minister Khamid Chitchian.
“Winter is a peak season of power consumption in Azerbaijan, Russia and Georgia and summer is a peak season of power consumption in Iran. Iran could export electric energy from these countries in winter and import from these countries in summer,” Minister added.’
Chitchian said that such a power exchange will allow reducing costs at the expense of reduction of construction of new power stations.—0—
