JSC Saba Plans to Dismiss 100 Employees?
Last week Saba JSC held a meeting, where preparation for staff cuts in the company was announced, according to an informed source, who requested anonymity.
According to Turan, it is planned to reduce staff directly at the head office and in the broiler factory Saba located in the Shabran region.
According to the source, the reduction will roughly concern about 100 employees.
The reason for such a measure is reportedly the bad sales. In addition, the source said that until now the majority of the employees have not been paid their salary for August.
However, the leadership of Saba denies everything. So in the comments for Turan the Chairman of the JSC, Fuad Alekperov, denied the information, saying the news is provocative.
‘We have not planned dismissals. And the salaries for August were paid to the employees in full,’ he said. -----71B

Silk production in Azerbaijan decreased by 32.9% year-on-year in the first eight months of 2024, reaching 239.4 tons, according to data released by the State Statistics Committee. The decline was attributed to a reduction in the number of silkworm seeds distributed to farmers, reflecting a longer-term trend in the sector's contraction, noted agricultural expert Vahid Maharramov.
