Level of 50% of local actuaries does not meet the Association of Insurers
22 representatives of leading insurance companies successfully passed the first stage of "a course of actuarial calculations."
Short-school, organized by the Association of Insurers of Azerbaijan (AIA), was established to prevent risks at an early stage, before the conclusion of contracts with corporate clients and individuals.
AIA reports that the first phase of the program, which was attended by 44 people, was held from 28 January to 7 March 2013. Only half of them received the right to participate in the second phase.
In the first phase the course participants heard reports on issues of interest calculation, the rate of return, savings fund, annuities, mortgages, keeping statistics, simple pension models, etc.
Overall, the course program supported by the Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan has 6 stages.
AIA was established in December 2006 through the merger of two insurance companies - Azerbaijan Insurers Association and the Union of Insurance Companies of Azerbaijan.
The main purpose of AIA is to ensure the development of the insurance market of Azerbaijan, as well as the speech by insurance companies with one voice in the discussion of the problems and prospects of the insurance market. - 17D-
