Manat Money Increased in August by a Half Percent
The manat monetary base at the end of August of this year amounted to 9,076.3 million manat, increasing in the reported month by 136.1 million or 1.5%.
According to the Central Bank, since the beginning of the year the monetary base grew by 800.9 million or 9.7 percent.
Monetary base is the amount of cash and cash commercial banks deposited with the Central Bank as required reserves. With this money the Central Bank fulfills its obligations to commercial banks and government agencies. - 15B -
