Ministry of Health Allocated Purchase of Medicines among Five Companies
The Ministry of Health has allocated the purchase of medicines, vaccines and medicines, diagnostic and disinfectants, supplies provided for the implementation of various government programs in health care among five companies through tender. The total value of purchases was 88 million 142.7 thousand manat.
According to the register of public procurement, the main suppliers of the Center for Innovation of the Ministry of Health are Azerbaijani LLC AvroMed Company and Osteosintez-Baki ETIB, which signed contracts worth 32.6 million and 3 million 570 thousand manat respectively.
The private British company Pharmex Healthcare Products Ltd signed with the Ministry of Health 18 contracts totaling 29.9 million manat. The remaining funds (13 million 112 thousand manat) were provided to Fresenius General Trading LLC (the country of registration is unknown - Ed.) for the purchase of medical treatments for chronic shortage of kidneys.
Note that from this year on the purchase of medicines and medical equipment and supplies will be carried out in a centralized manner: in previous years the district and city health departments received autonomous financing for this purpose. This year for the purpose it is envisaged to spend 209.3 million manat, which is 32.4 million manat or 18.3% more than in 2014. This includes funds intended for other government agencies and the National Cancer Center (NCC).
The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection this year made a purchase (supplier - LLC AzeriMed) of medical supplies, drugs and dressings totaling 25,656 thousand manat. NCC will be allocated over 42 million manat from the state budget for the purchase of medicines for cancer patients. --08B--

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
