Ministry of Justice to Create Electronic Database of Taxable Property for Sale
Baku / 06.10.17 / Turan: The powers of the Ministry of Justice have been expanded. This agency is entrusted with a number of powers to organize the sale of the arrested property of taxpayers. The corresponding decree on amending the Regulations of the Ministry of Justice was signed by President Ilham Aliyev on October 5.
According to the document, the Ministry of Justice will be engaged in informing the public about the sale of the arrested property of taxpayers through an electronic auction or electronic trade networks. The Ministry should ensure the creation of an up-to-date database on the properties to be sold. The Ministry of Justice once a quarter will submit to the Ministry of Taxes information on the proceeds from the sale at auction, as well as applications for sale from bailiffs.
At present, the arrested property of taxpayers for compulsory payment of tax debts is sold at open auctions. Information on this is published in the printed organ of the Ministry of Taxes. --08D
