Mustafa Bagryachyk to head the Azerbaijani-Turkish office of the bank JP Morgan Chase & Co
Mustafa Bagryachyk has been appointed as the new head of the regional office (in Azerbaijan and Turkey), the American bank JP Morgan Chase & Co. This structure is the largest in terms of assets in the United States.
According to today's data from Reuters, the financier will take up his duties in Istanbul from October 1 this year. Prior to this appointment Bagryachyk the last five years worked at Deutsche Bank as Head of Investment Banking and Advice Dept. on Azerbaijan and Turkey. Before that, he was a similar position with Goldman Sachs Group Inc. for 10 years.
The family bank of the Morgans finances oil and gas projects of SOCAR, provides loans to the International Bank of Azerbaijan and is one of the managers of the foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan. --17D-

Azerbaijan’s imports of animal and vegetable fats and oils climbed 23.9% by weight and 16.2% by value from January to September 2024, official data revealed. Despite the uptick in volume, the import cost of these products saw a decrease compared to the same period last year, with the cost per ton of vegetable oil falling by 6.1% to $1,199.6 in 2024, down from $1,278.6 in 2023.
