Natig Aliyev to Participate in Technical Meeting of OPEC
The Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan will be represented at a meeting of the High Level Committee on the implementation of the Algerian agreements of OPEC members and observers.
The Vienna delegation will be headed by Minister Natig Aliyev. The event will take place at the end of October, said the ministry's press service today.
Besides Azerbaijan, OPEC members, as well as Russia, Kazakhstan, Canada, Colombia, Egypt, Norway, Malaysia, Bahrain, Bolivia, Brazil, Brunei, Oman, Mexico and Trinidad and Tobago will be represented in Vienna.
The meeting will discuss the technical issues of the oil market development steps for the implementation of the agreements and consultations in anticipation of the general meeting to be held in the Austrian capital on November 30.
With reference to the Minister of Energy it is said that official Baku joins initiatives to regulate and stabilize the oil market and the increase in oil prices and is ready to contribute to the achievement of the agreement. "We are for the final decision to limit oil production. The main thing is to eliminate contradictions between OPEC members in the face of Saudi Arabia, Iran, Libya and Nigeria, which will allow reaching a general agreement," the statement said.
Recall the Algerian informal meeting on September 28 finalized with the total production restrictions at the level of 32.5-33 million barrels of oil per day, but the countries do not agree on specific limits for each of them. --17D-
