New Department in Ministry of Taxes to Increase Revenue
The Ministry of Taxes has established Tax Department №1. The report notes that the decision has been taken in order to fulfill the President's instructions, improve tax administration, provide efficiency and transparency of the tax authorities and to bring more funds to the state budget.
Zaur Pashazadeh, first deputy chief of the Baku Tax Department, was appointed the chief of the new department.
The functions and the operation area of the new department are not reported.
Note that this year, the Audit Department merged the Baku Tax Department and changes were made in the apparatus of the Ministry of Taxes. ---08D

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
