Nine Companies with Foreign Capital Closed
The official gazette of the Ministry of Taxes published information about the closure of nine companies with foreign capital. These are mainly companies from the UK and Turkey.
Regarding the closure of offices in Baku, it was announced for three UK companies: Ivor Promotions LLP, Arcotrans LLP and Accenture (Azerbaijan) Limited.
LLC ASSAM, Ceka, Mistral and Yuksel Insaat A.S branches representing the Turkish business unfolded their activity in Azerbaijan. Ltd. ASSAM, for example, engaged in processing and packaging of tea in the Lankaran region.
Offices of New Dynasty International Group Limited (Hong Kong) and Cadbury Cis B.V. (Netherlands) closed.
According to the SSC, in the first nine months of 2016 60 companies with 100% foreign capital and 5 joint ventures closed in Azerbaijan. --08B

According to official statistics from Azerbaijan, bilateral trade in 2023 reached 3.1 billion US dollars. In just the first ten months of 2024, trade volume increased by 17.1% year-on-year, reaching 3.02 billion US dollars, putting the annual trade figure on track to hit a record high.
