Non-oil-gas Exports Fell by 0.4%

According to the State Customs Committee, in January-July 2015 the foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan, supported with 142 countries of the world amounted to $ 12 billion 778 million. This is 29.5% less than in the same period in 2014. The balance of foreign trade turnover was $ 2.1 billion in favor of Azerbaijan.
The export of goods decreased compared to the same period of 2014 by 43.6% and amounted to $ 7 billion 472.5 million. The share of oil and natural gas in the structure of exports was 86.8%. The share of the public sector accounts for 89.2% of export operations.
Since the beginning of the year were imported goods worth $ 5.3 billion. This is 8.6% more than in the same period last year. This year, the supply of ferrous metals, vehicles, wood products, furniture and medicines from abroad increased.
State structures have bought abroad goods worth more than $ 1 billion manats or 19.3% of total imports of the country for seven months.
Note that in February, when the Central Bank carried out devaluation of the national currency by 34%, the expected results also indicated growth of local production and export capacity. It took five months, and this trend is not felt. --08D-
