Number of employed persons increased by 1.88 %
As of November 1, in the economy of Azerbaijan worked 1,505,600 people. This is 1.88% more than at the beginning of this year.
According to the State Statistics Committee, in the public sector at the beginning of November workED 901 800 people, which is 2,700 more people than at the beginning of January. In the private sector the number of employees increased from 578 600 to 603 800 people (+ 4.3 %). Increase in the number of employees was recorded mainly in the construction sector and in trade. Share of the workers in the industry since the beginning of the year has decreased from 12.7% to 12.3%. - 08D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
